This is urgent!! Act NOW!!

Act Immediately to Block ATF Long Gun Sales Reporting!

If you’re one of the nearly 71 million Americans who live in the four southwest border states , some of your gun purchases could soon be reported to the federal government. And whether you live in one of those states or elsewhere, your help is needed now to stop the federal government’s plan to register Americans’ gun purchases.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is demanding the authority to require all of the 8,500 firearm dealers in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas to report all sales of two or more semiautomatic rifles within five consecutive business days, if the rifles are larger than .22 caliber and use detachable magazines. For example, a dealer would have to tell the government every time a deer hunter in Sacramento or Amarillo finds a good deal on a pair of semi-auto .30-06s like the popular Remington 7400.

The ATF has no legal authority to demand these reports, and the flood of new paperwork will waste scarce law enforcement resources that should be spent on legitimate investigations.

Unfortunately, there are only a few days left to comment on this proposal. Comments will be accepted until Monday, February 14. Every concerned gun owner’s voice should be heard on this critically important issue.

The Taurus Judge

I think Taurus's marketing approach to the Judge is unethical. As a self-defense gun, it's just plain silly. The .45 Colt is NOT a particularly good stopper achieving only 75-80% one-shot stops. There are a number of calibers that get into the mid-90's so it certainly is not as good as several other easily obtainable and easier to carry caliber/guns. It is also not particularly accurate out of the Judge. It's accurate enough for defense but any of my Glocks will shoot circles around it. The .410 is adequate with 000 buck but is still nothing special.
It is heavy, bulky and difficult to conceal. I cannot, for the life of me, understand the fascination with this gun. It fills no niche in life and is bordering on totally useless except as a novelty.
If one had to justify it's existence, it would be as a trail gun. It would be useful against snakes and a decent grouse or bunny gun with the .410. A stiff-loaded .45 would be OK for bear and other toothy things at tent distances but in the Judge it is not really accurate enough for hunting except at fairly close range.

Taurus, like Springfield, has done their job well with all the misleading magazine ads.

The Super Bowl....who needs it?

What an embarrassing, disgusting show of apathy and disrespect for our flag and America!
The whole thing disgusted the hell out of me. It's sad that we pay ANY attention to these arrogant, anti-American, over-paid pukes. That idiot that sung the Anthem destroyed it and it made me sick to see all those anal orifice football players standing and looking around like they were doing us a favor that they waited for the anthem to be sung (such as it was). I didn't see a one of them put their hand over their heart and even LOOK at the flag, much less sing along. They all make me sick and the American people just idolize them. It was truly pathetic!
After the Anthem, I left. Didn't watch one minute of the game and never will. It's a shame that people just drop everything and practically worship those players and the game.
